‘I can give you a lift, if you like. I am going in the same direction.’
‘I don’t think that you are going in the same direction.’
‘What do you mean? I thought that you live in the eastern part of the city.’
‘I used to live there. But I don’t live there anymore.’
‘Why? What happened? You and your wife had a house there, didn’t you?’
‘Yes, we did. But things changed last year.’
‘What changed?’
‘My wife and I, we got divorced. We are not together anymore.’
‘Oh, I didn’t know that.’
‘Well, I didn’t tell many people about it. I’m not very happy about the situation.’
‘So, where are you living now?’
‘I’m renting a one-bedroom apartment in the western part of the city. It is a temporary solution for me. Next year I want to start looking for a better place.’
‘I see. And so, your wife stayed in the old house?’
‘No, actually she didn’t. I thought that she would stay there, but she sold the house.’
‘Did she? And where is she now?’
‘I don’t know exactly. She found another man and moved to another city. She didn’t tell me where she went.’
