The Algerian president, in one of his TV interviews, admitted that Algeria might join economic group of BRICS in the future.

Algeria is the biggest natural gas exporting nation in Africa, and so, if they really joined the economic block of BRICS countries, with sanctioned Russia (and China) in the lead, it could mean more troubles for Europe, in terms of Europe’s energy needs.

All the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries abstained from the vote on the UN resolution which demanded that Russia should leave Ukraine immediately.

Algeria abstained, too.

If Europe do not want their gas from Russia, AND if they do not get it from Algeria, the big question is… ?
