Allegedly, somewhere in the northern parts of India, seven people were killed by lightning during a storm. Together with other victims killed by lightning this week only, the number totals 49 dead.

During a storm, a group of seven farmers is reported to have been hiding under trees, when the lightning struck, killing all the seven on the spot.

Allegedly, in the local press, there is a lot of ongoing talk about global warming, deforestation and their government issuing some guidelines for the people on how to protect themselves against the lightning.

It appears to be a big issue in India, no doubt. We wish the best of luck to all of them and humbly remind to all the living that whatever you do during a lightning storm, you never go hiding under a tree.
